The Global Stars 2017 Event, held in Perth last weekend, was a resounding success, with 175 top-selling agents from around Australia and New Zealand experiencing first-hand the best of what WA has to offer.
The event, supported by Tourism WA, included a networking lunch in the Swan Valley and a gala awards dinner at Crown Towers Perth.
Travel agents also had the opportunity to take part in a pre- or post-famil trip to some of WA’s most popular destinations in the South West, Coral Coast, North West and the Golden Outback.
Highlights of these trips included searching for gold at Hannans Mine in Kalgoorlie, pearl shopping and camel rides in Broome, climbing the Vlaming Head lighthouse for spectacular views over the Ningaloo Reef and Coral Bay, swimming with manta rays and whale sharks, a Kimberley Wild Expeditions day tour to Cape Leveque, wine tasting in Margaret River and plenty of quokka-spotting on Rottnest Island.
Special events were also held in and around Perth, including locations such as Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle and Elizabeth Quay in the city.
It was the first time agents from New Zealand were invited to attend the event.
