GoAir flight makes emergency landing in Delhi

GoAirA GoAir flight bound for Bengaluru, carrying more than 190 people, had to make an emergency landing on Wednesday at the New Delhi airport due to technical problems.

The problems occurred in the evening and after landing safely, passengers were accommodated in the subsequent flight. There were a total of 184 passengers and three infants aboard the flight that made the emergency landing, according to GoAir.


“G8-557 Delhi-Bengaluru flight had an emergency landing at Delhi airport at 1953 hours (7:53pm) due to technical reasons,” the airline said in a statement.

Delhi airport sources said the flight landed safely on Runway 28 after the Air Traffic Control announced full emergency protocol.

The flight had taken off at around 7:32pm.
