Golf Tourism – The newest trend in India

Golf TourismIn modern times, lush golf courses are growing across India. Their popularity as a sport is increasing adding sightseeing attractions and studying business opportunities together. Thus, golf tourism in India is growing at par with courses that are among the oldest and highest in the world.

Finally, golf tourism has successfully created an impression in India as more and more tourists are opting for golfing vacations which was quite common during the British times. The royal golf courses are kind of a legacy that the British Empire left behind. Majority of them are still operational. Many modern day entrepreneurs are selecting golf journeys for directing business meetings and discussions as they allow the attendees to meet amidst ideal setting as professionals do not doubt by saying that golf is the ultimate networking sport for contemporary businessmen.

Established in 1955 in New Delhi, Indian Golf Union took control of the responsibilities for golf organization and development from the hands of Royal Calcutta Golf Club, which was controlling India’s golfing interests since 1829. From that time onward, good number of golf courses has been developed in India as the country boasts off hundreds of them now.
