Very soon, Gosford will become the home to the headquarters for Destination Network Sydney Surrounds North. This good news was disclosed by the Parliamentary Secretary for the Coast Scot MacDonald early this hour at Central Coast Council’s smart work hub in William Street. The head quarter would be situated here.
David Fellows, DNSSN Chairperson expects the hub will employ three people, and help support the local tourism industry, worth $844 million annually.
“Gosford was ultimately chosen for a number of reasons, one (being) geographically, no part of our territory is more than two and half hours from Gosford, so it’s almost the epicenter of our region.”
The Sydney Surrounds North network will be accountable for controlling all event and tourism skills training for businesses in the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, the Hunter and Port Stephens. Former Coffs Coast Tourism Manager Glenn Caldwell has been selected as the General Manger.
It has been really nice 24 hours in terms of tourism on the Central Coast in General.
