With the approaching Grand Prix weekend in Montreal and tourists and visitors thronging to the destinations, the race is heated up with glamor and passion. Amid all the humdrum, a trade that flourishes in the undercurrent of the grand race is sex tourism.
People come to Montreal in this season not just to be entertained with the sport. So this year the Montreal police have warned tourist, that if they try to buy sexual services at the race track then they can find themselves locked in Jail.
The Race season invites huge inflow of tourism who finds other cheaper attractions to keep them busy after the races. Prostitution has become a very popular trade there.
The police have already decided to send specialized squads who will petrol the strip clubs, hotels, motels and massage parlors. The police will be on high alert at every point in the city which will be related to the Grand Prix festival.
More than 300,000 F1 enthusiastic tourist visits the festival site. But not all turn out to the venue. The police will focus on the presence of minors and johns where prostitution is known to take place. The police are keeping a good watch on the escort services websites.
The new Canadian prostitution law, which came into effect in December, prohibits the selling and buying of sexual services. It is taken as a criminal offense.
Sex workers are also happy with the decision as they feel that the atmosphere during the festival is different. The clients are far more demanding and they have little respect for the service offered.
