Great Rail Journeys unveils acquisition of Vacations By Rail

Great Rail Journeys announced the acquisition  of Vacations By Rail, an independent US provider of escorted and independent rail holidays.

After the deal, Great Rail Journeys is expected to be positioned as a leading escorted rail company.

The company intends to expand both internationally and into new product areas like the newly launched rail river cruise range.

Customers will be able to avail an unrivaled global portfolio of escorted rail itineraries along with an expanded collection of independent rail holidays to customers in United Kingdom and United States.

There will be exclusive access to unique VBR products in North America’s breath-taking National Parks and Alaska.

The Great Rail Journey is known to tap into new source markets for its rail tours that includes Australia and the US.

In 2018 it launched  a new river cruise offerings and its Summer 2020 programme  which had the extended exclusive small group tours.

Vacations by Rail was established in 2004 and provides North American customers the largest selection of independent rail vacations, escorted rail tours, luxury rail journeys and customized train vacations to destinations in North America.
