An adventure tourist and several onlookers in Mexico have endured a sudden shock as a four-metre long great white shark entered the diving cage for tourists, which is supposed to prevent sharks from harming the them.
The incident has occurred as the massive shark has been following a bait given by one of the guides. The staff members have managed to immediately remove the top of the cage after finding a tourist to be trapped with the great white inside the cage.
The shark has been witnessed to be bleeding and thrashing around the cage, before it frees itself from the cage and swims away.
The diver, who has been trapped with the massive shark inside the cage, is miraculously unharmed during the short encounter with the gigantic shark.
The controversial great white shark cave diving trip attracts several adventure enthusiast tourists and the guides usually lure the sharks by giving baits around the cage.
A witness to this incident, adventurer Buck Forester has informed that the sharks get temporarily blinded while opening their mouth. For that reason, when the shark has opened its mouth to capture the bait tuna, it has collided with the cage. He has also added that as the sharks cannot swim backwards, the great white has thrusted forward through the cage with a diver inside.
