Prime Minister Keith Mitchell has met with Canadian Premier Stephen Harper to discuss possible changes in the costs and visa services for Grenadians, the government said Tuesday in a statement.
Mitchell said his concern also include the inconvenience Grenadians experience when they have to go to Trinidad and Tobago to obtain visas to enter Canada.
Harper said he will re-evaluate visa requirements for Grenadian nationals and “consider appointing a (Canadian) representative to come to Grenada once or twice a month to provide visa and other consular services,” the Grenadian government said.
