The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), the top global authority on quality sustainability standards for travel & tourism offers practical insights and expert guidance through its STTP program for helping tourism industry professionals implement best sustainability practices. This program is due to start in 2017 and will include a series of facilitated online training classes throughout the year along with onsite training classes.
This program will be offered by expert GSTC trainers and will be an interactive learning experience. These flexible STTP online training classes will combine the conveniences of on-demand learning with the benefits of interactive people-focused learning catered towards busy tourism professionals. These courses will be conducted over a 4-week period with weekly lessons and activities, and live components for interaction and collaboration.
Randy Durband, GSTC Chief Executive Officer said, “The GSTC training program is a critical part of the GSTC’s mission of increasing sustainable tourism knowledge and practices among tourism industry stakeholders.” Also, in 2017, the GSTC looks forward to contribute with the STTP, the “Capacity-building and education” goals of the United Nations International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development by workshops and trainings on sustainable tourism outlined by the UNWTO.
This 4-week program will be offered quarterly and will start off in April 2017. It will be delivered via online training platform by TrainingAid.
