Daryl Lee, Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa says: “As a market leader, we would like to spearhead how the trend is going to look like for 2016 and also, to position ourselves for a good start. The first sale of the year aims to help both our suppliers and clients to drive incremental aggressive demand and encourage travellers to book early.

Martin Jones, GTA’s Senior Vice President for Global Sourcing and Product Development Hotel says: “What better way to kick off the New Year with so many great offers from our hotel partners. Our commercial team works very closely with hoteliers to help drive demand for room occupancy, and the cities were selected based on trends from our historical booking periods. Thanks to the longstanding partnerships we have with hotels around the world, we can offer these attractive deals which can help encourage prospective guests to book a hotel they have previously considered, but may have previously been out of their price range. Particularly for our ‘Stay 3 nights, get 1 night free’ and discount promotions, these will mean significant savings for stays in some of these cities’ most popular hotels.”

Flavia Alzetta, Senior Vice President for Global Sales and Marketing says: “Following GTA’s successful Q3 Premium Collection global campaign, we decided to introduce the first flash sale of the year. We hope to start 2016 by introducing travellers to our hotel partners in 16 of our most popular city destinations, presenting our clients with the latest rates and availability from around the world via our booking sites – GTA retail, TravelCube and Travel Bound, as well as GTA wholesale – and XML system together.”
