Chief engineer, special purpose vehicle cell, GTDC, Pramod Badami said that the locations selected will not harm the sand dunes or the ecology around.

GTDC states that the Goa state government is providing basic amenities at various beaches of Goa such as toilet blocks and information centre at locations which see a lot of tourists under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme sanctioned by the Union ministry for tourism.

Work is going on at Candolim, Baga, Calangute, Anjuna and Ashwem beaches after obtaining necessary permissions from GCZMA and these locations are far away from the sand dunes which are mapped by the GCZMA authorities.
