One of the principal international tourism platform, Global Tourism Economy Forum has been specifically designed to encourage sustainable development of the global tourism industry with support of China will be hosting its 6th annual session in Macao from 16th to 17th October of this year. Various famous leaders associated in the public and private sectors will be seen at GTEF 2017. They will be participating in the discussion on Regional Collaboration and how tourism stakeholders’ break down barriers and find out common grounds and grow stronger together.
Taking the chance of the inaugural ITB China, the China-focused travel industry event bringing international destinations, service and travel technology providers together with principal Chinese buyers, GTEF 2017 transformed Shanghai its latest road show stop with a networking luncheon at JW Marriott Shanghai at Tomorrow Square on May 9 (Tuesday), one day before the kick-off of ITB China.
The formal lunch was designed like a networking plan before the tradeshow in order to connect representatives of the travel industry from the 16 major Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs), Chinese outbound tour operators and travel agencies, travel and trade industry, leading MICE operators from Macao, potential sponsors and media, and to ease the exchange and enhance mutual understanding among these groups.
Besides, the luncheon was catered to raise awareness of GTEF in both China’s and CEECs’ tourism sectors. Also, to promote the Forum as a one-stop medium for tourism stakeholders in order to expand their business reach within the region.
