Hainan Airlines collaborated with designer Lawrence Xu taking the glamour quotient of the cabin crew to the next level. The flight attendants will get more stylish with the launch of the collection at Paris Couture Week on 4 July.
Inspired by Cheongasm, a traditional Chinese dress, it will also feature Chinese influenced prints like the Roc – a mythical bird.
The uniform has a fine blend of east and west, the couture is designed with a modern twist having tailored coats and capes in muted grey with bret style hats.
The classical, time-honoured Oriental aesthetics and the silhouette of a modern western suit was combined by Xu.
Xu Fei, Brand Director of Hainan Airlines mentioned that the coperation between the Hainan Airlines and Lawrence Xu is leading in the indsutry. The new uniform will showcase the internationalized image of their airlines. Passengers of the international routes should get the impression that China is modern and trendy.
The campaign features western models despite the airline is Chinese. China’s largest civilian –run airline is looking forward to expand by doubling the flights taking off China’s second tier cities.
Earlier in 2016, the airline was talked about for a passenger’s getting into a physical brawl onboard.
