Published on : Wednesday, August 17, 2016

Hampton by HiltonHilton Worldwide today announced plans to grow its portfolio of Hampton by Hilton hotels in Poland, with two new properties slated to open in Gdansk and Lublin. The new franchise hotels will join 23 Hilton properties trading or under development throughout Poland.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide said: “The travel and tourism industry is one of the fastest growing contributors to Poland’s economy, and is forecast to generate nearly five billion US dollars per year by 2025. Hilton’s focused service portfolio in Central Europe continues to play a key role in attracting international visitors to its historic cities, and the new Hampton by Hilton hotels in Lublin and Gdansk will deliver exceptional, affordable hotel accommodation when they open in 2017.”

Hampton by Hilton Lublin
Hampton by Hilton Lublin is a 121 guest room property being developed by Global Property Sp. z.o.o. S.K.A. and will become Hilton’s first in the city when it opens in late 2017. It will be managed by Pro Value Sp. z o.o. – an independent commercial real estate consultancy firm delivering professional advice in all property sectors with a focus on hotels. In addition to its position as a commercial hub, Lublin is a city steeped in history and next year will celebrate the 700 year anniversary of its foundation. The new hotel will allow ease of access to both this historic old town and the city center and is situated on the main road which connects the city to both Lublin Airport and the Polish capital of Warsaw.

Hampton by Hilton Gdansk Oliwa
Offering 100 guest rooms, Hampton by Hilton Gdansk Oliwa will join two existing Hilton Worldwide properties trading in the city when it opens in 2017, with a further Hampton by Hilton currently under construction in Gdansk main town. The hotel will be housed within a broader mixed use development that will incorporate office and retail space, and will be delivered by owner Moderna Investment Sp.z.o.o in partnership with Property Partner Investments sp. z o.o. sp.k. Located on Aleja Grunwaldzka, Oliwa’s main street, the hotel will be particularly well positioned for guests visiting the city on business, as it is situated close to a rapidly expanding commercial district.

Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton by Hilton brand management, Hilton Worldwide, said: “We’re proud of Hampton by Hilton’s growth in Europe – in less than a decade since its introduction we’ve reached more than 100 hotels open or planned. Poland offers so many great cities to explore, and the new hotels in Lublin and Gdansk will provide a comfortable, colorful base from which our guests can discover the best of these locations.”
