In SA economy, for every R100 produced, R3.10 was due to tourism in 2015. On the other hand, agriculture contributed R2.40 for every R100. Tourists in 2015 as a whole spent almost R249,7 billion.

 
Restaurants and wines also contribute immensely to the tourism industry. Voted best food city in the world, Cape Town has also been voted number as number one city for restaurants and bars in 2016. The city is world-renowned for wines. Famous estates like Groot Constantia have included their wine tasting experiences to within various activities that tourists can enjoy. With affordable exchange rates still available for international visitors, they can enjoy outstanding restaurant meals with fine wines at pocket-friendly prices.
