Today the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) declared that they have appointed Jennifer Chun as the Director of Tourism Research of the agency and she is scheduled to commence her duties from 1st December, 2017.
George D. Szigeti, HTA president and CEO mentioned that Jennifer Chun is among the leading research experts for the tourism strategy of Hawaii Tourism Authority.
This is because she has an important understanding of how assimilating the analyzing this data is significant to improve the future of the industry both in supporting the business models of brands statewide and also evaluating the sentiments of the community.
Chun has been analyzing tourism data for over 20 years.
She had joined HTA in the year 2014 as Tourism Research Manager and before that had served for about 10 years at Hospitality Advisors LLC.
This actually represents the hotel, tourism and real estate consulting firm of Hawaii. Her background also comprises rendering her services as a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Global Hospitality & Leisure Industry Group.
Chun would be leading the Tourism Research Division that offers strategic analytical information about the tourism industry of Hawaii and also conducts research supporting State marketing and product development efforts, policy making and planning by industry partners. The research publications of HTA helps empower stakeholders to make well informed decisions supporting the tourism sector of Hawaii.
Apart from this Chun also works as the Chair of the Pacific Asia Travel Association’s Hawaii Chapter. Currently she is the President of Skål International Hawaii, and is Treasurer of the Travel & Tourism Research Association’s Hawaii Chapter.
