A Honolulu-bound flight that had been flying from Oakland had to go for an emergency landing in the region of Kahului on Monday immediately after the passengers on board the flight smelt smoke inside the cabin.
However, none of the air travellers have been injured in account of the emergency landing.
It had left Oakland around 9.21 a.m., and landed perfectly safely in Kahului at 11.29 a.m., as per the official account of Hawaiian Airlines. The flight had been carrying 10 crew members and 241 passengers.
The passengers of this flight had been re-booked alternative flights that were available and were heading towards Honolulu.
This emergency landing had prompted a reaction at the airport, with a number of fire trucks and police vehicles that were observed in this region.
