Head over to Southbank Centre this festive season and see it transformed into a magical landscape with a bustling market, twinkling lights and a host of seasonal events for Winter at Southbank Centre with NatWest.
The month-long festival, which ends on January 17, offers a packed programme of free and ticketed events for all ages – from world-class theatrical performances and festive concerts, to social dances, community choirs and activities.
This year’s Winter Festival focuses on family, charity and giving, with many events and activities reflecting these three themes.
Enjoy the weird and the wonderful at Southbank Centre again this year, as Olivier Award-winning cabaret, burlesque and circus showcase La Soirée returns to the Spiegeltent. Young kids, meanwhile, can get to know all kinds of monsters in new dance show We Are The Monsters.
Southbank Centre’s popular Winter Market returns this year to the banks of the river Thames. Explore this charming market for special gifts.
If you’d rather escape the cold, head inside for a warming mulled cider at Scandinavian-style winter pop-up, Rekorderlig Cider Lodge. Run by Swedish cider specialists Rekorderlig, the cosy two-storey venue features authentic wood-pannelling, fire pits and comfy seating…skål!
If you’re looking for something new, why not attend one of the free lunchtime and early evening gigs during the festival, or take to the dancefloor with free social dancing activities.
If you’d rather skate on no ice than thin ice, BUMP Rollerdisco provides a unique alternative to ice skating this winter. Get your rollerblades on and take to the skating rink as amid tunes from guest DJs and special performers.
