Heathrow breaks record in the first half of 2017 with 37.1 million passengers

Heathrow_NS-700x433The passenger traffic during the first six months ending June 30 of Heathrow had a passenger flux of 37.1 million. Beating the all time record, it is 3.9 per cent more than the same period in 2016.


Heathrow further mentioned in a statement that the new Flybe services and long-haul destinations like Portland and New Orleans have better better domestic connectivity and has new trading routes to British exporters.


The chief executive officer, John Holland-Kaye said that the Heathrow’s services will provide the passengers with better value. There will be a surge in trading links and expansion plans were on board.


The government had set benchmark for the expansion of the Britain’s hub despite changing the airport charges. There is a substantial progress along with challenges and they are delivering their commitments as per the global needs.



It was reported that the revenue was 4.1 per cent to £1,374 million and the adjusted EBIDTA was 6.9 per cent to £835 million. Due to the growth in the retail momentum this trend was driven.
