In January Helsingborg launched a new promotion video hosted by Ralph Grizzle, the Avid Cruiser (AC). Within a couple of days over 6,000 people had watched it on one of the five sites on which it is available such as cruisehelsingborg.com. On one day alone there were 710 views on the AC website.
Helsingborg is offering this video to cruiselines so that it can be shown in the cabins prior to arriving in the Swedish port, giving passengers an overview of what the destination has to offer and to push tour sales. “We already have several lines who would like to have it,” said Monica Frisk, destination development officer Helsingborg City Council.
