Hilton Worldwide is proud to announce that 3,338 of its 4,350 properties (more than 75% of the entire portfolio of hotels) received a prestigious 2015 TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence, an award presented to businesses in the hospitality industry that consistently receive outstanding guest reviews on TripAdvisor®. Eleven brands within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio were honored, with 843 properties receiving the Hall of Fame acknowledgement, recognizing hotels that have received a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. Furthermore, 27% of Hilton Worldwide properties are ranked #1 in TripAdvisor in their markets.
When selecting Certificate of Excellence winners, TripAdvisor uses a proprietary algorithm to determine the honorees that takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period as well as business’s tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
“Extending high-quality service and experiences to our guests at our more than 4,350 hotels is our number one priority,” said Jim Holthouser, executive vice president, global brands, Hilton Worldwide. “Whether it be through digital check-in and room selection, complimentary Wi-Fi or the other services we offer, we are proud to be recognized for our outstanding guest experience.”
