As per the information released by the government of Honduras, President Juan Orlando Hernández has requested the National Congress to pass the newly introduced Law of Incentive for Tourism. This law focuses on to revive the tourism sector as an element of the transversal axes of the Honduras 20/20 Plan, creating 250,000 new job opportunities in the coming two years.
As the executive branch puts forward the presentation of the proposal, the law concentrating on tourism development in Honduras is anticipated to be promptly discussed and approved to start its implementation by the National Congress.
The law is an initiative frame in the National Program of Economic Development 20/20. The study before its explanation states that Honduras tourism is ever-growing when it’s compared to other Caribbean countries.
Nicaragua, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador and other countries, regardless of having same issues like Honduras or even severe ones, are gradually increasing which highlights the significance of the acceptin of the new tourism law.
As the tourism infrastructure is in dire need of development, many hotel chains declared their willingness to enter entering the country. Hilton group signed a management contract last month with Desarrolladores Asociados de Honduras (DAH) to start a new 173-room Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Tegucigalpa, the capital and largest city of the country.
