Hotel Amapa brings fresh vibes to the historic old town of Puerto Vallarta with its launch in February 2018. It embodies the fusion of traditional Mexican aesthetic yet spirited vision set in contemporary design.
David Harries holding an experience of more than 35 years leads a team that includes Antoine Ratigan of Circleminds, Nicole Haime of NMH Creative, and general manager Adalberto Reiter, to conceptualise Hotel Amapa.
The hotel offers 55 rooms one block from Playa Los Muertos and is a part of the Design Hotels collection has something unattainable be it the great design the location and the dedicated service.
The hotel has local craftsmanship with barro coverings from Oaxaca by David Pompa, weaves by artist Mariella Motilla and the artisanal hammocks from the Yucatan peninsula.
Puerto Vallarta has developed over time, it has a quirky mix of rich history, vibrant street life, expat community, embracing locals and the relaxing beaches.
Hotel Amapa is expected to offer something for everyone, located in the bustling old town where the guests can avail the town’s best restaurants, bars, hikes, and idyllic beaches.
Harries said that the opening of Hotel Amapa will set in a new vibe for hospitality in Puerto Vallarta. It was important to bring the guests in the Mexican state of Mind. It will be celebrating Puerto Vallarta’s heritage along with original design, service, food and beverage.
The intention is to built a place where the guests can live like locals and have an authentic inspiring experience.
