Hotel Metro is a sic-story 63-room hotel that was based at 411 E. Mason Street.
And it was among the first boutique hotels of Milwaukee. Of late it has confronted with rising pressure since the number of hotels in the downtown Milwaukee region continues to expand.
These hotels are inclusive of a 150-room, six-story Hyatt Place hotel that is under construction at The Brewery complex, a 94-room Homewood Suites that would be opening this month at 500 N. Water St. and Ascendant Holdings plan to convert the Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center building into a 215-room hotel.
Developers are also planning to convert a portion of the Milwaukee Athletic Club into a 100-room flagged hotel.
Developer Mark Ingens is considering a hotel for the present BMO Harris building located at 77 N. Water Street after the new BMO office tower is completed.
Marriott Autograph represents the boutique brand of Marriott.
The hotels range in size and can be individualized, according to Hanis. Hanis also mentioned that the hotel is likely to be named as the Hotel Metro and Autograph Collection by Marriott.
