Hotels poised to better attract, reach and convert guests as SiteMinder localises global technology

SiteMinderAs ITB Berlin 2016 takes full swing, the hotel industry’s leading cloud platform,SiteMinder, today announces it has launched its product extranets in multiple languages for hoteliers as part of its continued commitment to helping them attract, reach and convert global guests.


The multi-language capability is available within SiteMinder’s Channel Manager, the hotel industry’s largest channel management platform, and TheBookingButton, SiteMinder’s wholly- branded Internet booking engine for hotels to receive direct bookings. Hotel users can now access the complete administration behind these products in the primary languages of some of the world’s most tourist-ready markets, including Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Thailand and Indonesia.*


SiteMinder’s managing director, Mike Ford, says the development is about enhancing the hotel user experience. “From Day 1, SiteMinder’s technology has been specifically designed to remove the complexities that come with an always-changing digital landscape, so that hotels in all locations and of all sizes can compete online. We are fortunate to have 20,000 hotel customers that already find success in managing their online bookings with us, and today is about further investing in those hoteliers so their day-to-day jobs can be that much easier with products that are available in their native language.”


From today, guests users of hotel websites designed by SiteMinder’s Canvas, the intelligent website creator for independent hoteliers, can also switch between the above languages as well as Chinese and Russian. Additional languages will continually be made available.“With Canvas, we made the conscious decision to start small as we recognised the importance for hotels to have websites that not only looked great but performed well.
