Houghton Festival produced by the team behind Gottwoood Festival in North Wales and curated by renowned Fabric resident Craig Richards is set to launch its inaugural edition this August. Houghton Hall will hold the festival in Norfolk, between August 11 to 13.
Ricardo Villalobos, Nicolas Jaar and Floating points will be among the headliners. The lead performer will be Ricardo Villalobos who will make his live debut as one half of Vilod his duo with Max Loderbauer.
Nicolas Jaar, Seth Troxler, Floating Points, Ben UFO, Joy Orbison and Roman Flügel are also set to perform. Henry Wu (formerly of the jazz duo Yussef Kamaal) and afrobeat pioneer Tony Allen will be performing a tribute to Art Blakey.
The invitation to the festival will be based on merit, organizers revealed that lengthy DJ set will be the norm along with spontaneous back to back set.
The festival is intended to bring in the best in electronic music and the venues will include an abandoned warehouse and a subterranean, within a woodland area and will be set beside a lake.
On display will be art and sculpture as part of the festival by James Turrel, Richard Long and many more.
Tickets are priced at £161, including camping and are available through Resident Advisor.
