HRG, the award winning global travel management company, is proud to announce that its Government Special Projects Operations team has won the Operations Team of the Year award at The People Awards 2015. The award was made in recognition of the role HRG played in booking high volumes of hotel accommodation and ground transportation in support of the NATO Summit held in Newport, Wales in September 2014.
The NATO Summit was the first to be held in the UK since 1990 and clearly required a team of knowledgeable, experienced and capable personnel to organise this high profile event. HRG formed a Special Projects Operation team that was entirely dedicated to this event. This highly experienced team of five were involved throughout the process, sourcing, booking and project managing the accommodation and transport requirements for all delegates attending the Summit.
With a requirement for large number of room nights, the team sourced venues from all star ratings, room categories and locations stretching across a 40 mile radius. The team also acted as a pivotal point of contact for all Delegates attending the Summit. This included making suggestions and recommendations on where they should stay, whilst taking into account the considerations and requirements of individual attendees.
