China’s Changsha in Hunan province played host to a meeting of heads of CNTA overseas offices. The CNTA heads reported on their work in 2016, including tourism publicity and promotion, market surveys, emergency response, and team capacity building and management.
They also shared their ideas about work in 2017.
At the meeting, CNTA vice chairman Du Jiang said, “CNTA Party Leading Group highly values the work of overseas offices. The just concluded National Tourism Work Conference and the National Work Conference on the Tourism Market fully recognized the achievements made by our overseas offices in recent years and laid down the goals and priority tasks for the upcoming year and for a period to come. Overseas offices shall follow the general deployment of CNTA, continue to advance tourism-related diplomatic activities and tourism marketing, report on emergency events as soon as possible, tighten finance management, strictly abide by the human resources system, strengthen the Party construction, and elevate all related work to a new high.”
The appraisal group, composed of competent senior officials, departmental heads of CNTA and senior officials from some local tourism departments, reviewed and evaluated their reports.
