The SpiceJet flight SG 136 initially took off from the Indian city of Bengaluru and after flying for 2 hours and 50 minutes, it encountered a hydraulic failure. After detecting the technical snag, the captain of the flight decided to make an emergency landing at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
According to the statement issued by the airline authorities, the SpiceJet flight SG 136, Bengaluru to Delhi, experienced, during cruise, partial hydraulic failure due to loss of hydraulic fluid.
The statement also informed that all the passengers and the crew members were reported to be safe after the emergency landing. The airline added that right after encountering the glitch, the crew members of the flight carried out emergency procedure and landed safely in Delhi.
The airline did not reveal further details regarding the technical snag or what caused it.
