Hydraulic issue prompts emergency landing of United Express flight

united-expressA hydraulic issue had forced a plane of United Express to go for an emergency landing at the Baton Rouge Airport on Wednesday afternoon.


The plane is a passenger jet that has 50 seats.


This flight had been filled with crew members as well. Thereafter, the plane had landed safely around 2.30 p.m. Luckily, no injuries have been reported on board the flight after the emergency landing occurred.


The airport director said that the pilot had reported hydraulic problems and had been compelled to make an abrupt landing.


The flight had taken off in Houston around 12.57 p.m. It was travelling to Charleston. But then, it made an emergency landing at Baton Rouge. The Baton Rouge Fir Department was on standby along the runway. However, there was no requirement for it.


Another plane from Houston had to be flown in, for picking up the passengers and continue on a non-stop journey to Charleston.
