Icelandair, the main airline company of the Iceland headquartered at Keflavík International Airport, which is operation in 39 cities across the world connecting the world with Atlantic, will begin its new journey from Reykjavik to Tampa International from the month of September.
The new year-round service offered by Icelandair will operate twice a week departing on Wednesdays and Sundays and returning on Thursdays and Mondays. Þorsteinn Guðjónsson, general manager, Icelandair, Western Europe said that Icelandair is proud to welcome Tampa Bay on board as the latest US gateway.
This addition improves the connectivity of the Bay and gives the passengers access to an 18th exciting gateway in North America, via the hub in Reykjavik.
In addition to being a great destination in its own right, Tampa Bay is also the entryway to some of the best scenery and destinations of Florida that has to offer.
Tampa Bay also includes the stunning beaches of Clearwater and nearby hipster cities of St. Petersburg and Sarasota.
The visitors can enjoy the great local and international food and discovering the breathtaking natural scenery and nature reserves with the best modern architectural cityscape, with a thrill both on land at the wide range of tourist attractions or on the water through the many activities on offer.
Santiago Corrada, the Chief Executive of Visit Tampa Bay said that they are delighted to welcome year round twice weekly flights from Icelandair into Tampa Bay, Florida.
The flights will depart KEF at 17:10 arriving into TPA at 21:00 and will return at 18:55 the following day arriving into KEF at 06:10, plus one day.
This airline schedule means the flights connect smoothly with those from four of the seven destinations of the United Kingdom. Icelandair serves also to reach the destinations like Manchester, Glasgow, Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
