Honorable Shri Naveen Raj Singh, IAS, Secretary to Government, Tourism Dept, Government of Karnataka had opened the exhibition simultaneously with two other respectable name like John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs and H.E Mr. V. Krishnamoorthy, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, on 21 July 2017 respectively.
Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions completed 18 years in offering the travel and tourism industry and discerning buyers from the travel, trade and corporate sector providing excellent chances to do business including along with this year’s event in Bangalore. In this year’s edition, many National Tourism Organizations or NTOs representing other countries and tourism boards of 15 Indian states took part in the edition with an intention to highlight their modern tourism products, destinations and services in terms of culture and heritage, adventure, pilgrimage, beaches, wildlife, nature, among others.
This platform became a perfect marketing opportunity and outstanding backdrop that will improve the brand equity of the participants for the judicious consumers and the ever changing travel trade. 380 exhibitors had partaken in the event from across India from Andhra Pradesh, Bodoland, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Tripura and Uttarakhand. From overseas exhibitors, countries like Dubai, Ajman, UK, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia were quite prominent.
