Following the third successful event in Kyoto, Japan earlier this year, Reed Travel Exhibitions – organisers of the ILTM portfolio of luxury events – has announced that ILTM Japan 2016 will take place at The Conrad Tokyo, 29 February – 2 March 2016.
ILTM Japan is a unique, Japan focused luxury travel event: international exhibitors meeting with luxury Japanese buyers and Japanese exhibitors meeting with hosted buyers from across the world. Following the traditional ILTM format, all buyers and exhibitors are required to follow a strict accreditation process in order to participate. The 2016 event will continue to be supported by the city of Kyoto who will welcome both ILTM Japan hosted buyers and international media at their leisure either before or after the event.
Alison Gilmore, Senior Exhibition Director of the ILTM Portfolio says:
“ILTM would like to thank the city and the Mayor of Kyoto for the invaluable support in both establishing and helping to develop ILTM Japan over the last three years. To reinforce the potential of both the inbound and outbound Japanese luxury travel markets, we are moving to Tokyo as a natural next step for this maturing market and exciting event. We look forward to working with The Conrad Tokyo and continuing to work with the City of Kyoto.”
The 2015 event highlighted the fact that the Japanese outbound luxury travel market is set to boom in 2016. Ms Gilmore continued:
“With a stable Japanese government, strong business and rising wages, an emerging Japanese middle class is leading to a significant increase in purchasing power. International luxury travel brands looking to meet and understand those representing the growing numbers of new, wealthy Japanese travellers need look no further than attending ILTM Japan 2016. Over 35 personal meetings with the most valuable of Japanese agents in 3 days has proved both cost effective and extremely productive for our clients.”
