World’s one of the well-known community-driven hospitality company, Airbnb, has recently declared that it will spend US$2 million through 2020 with a mission to promote and support innovative tourism projects all through Asia Pacific.
It said that the commitment of the company is to fortify communities via healthy tourism and make powerful hospitality entrepreneurs across the region,
Organizations that will receive funds include destination marketing organizations, non-profit agencies, NGOs, and community social groups – in need of financial support for innovative tourism projects.
Nathan Blecharczyk, Airbnb co-founder and CSO and chairman of China APEC CEO Summit in Da Nang made this statement at the time of a panel discussion on the ‘New Job Creators’ last week.
“Airbnb is dedicated to empowering people and communities through healthy tourism, and we have a long tradition of supporting local projects in Asia-Pacific,” said Nathan. We’re excited to continue these efforts and support APEC’s goal of driving sustainable and inclusive tourism to Asia-Pacific economies.”
New figures show how Airbnb is allowing hospitality entrepreneurs across APEC member economies via healthy travel – authentic, affordable experiences that allocate the profits to people and places.
