In Germany’s Tourism Exhibition, Indonesia ranked third best

Germany’s Tourism ExhibitionAt Internationale Tourismus Borse or the ITB 2018 in Messe, Berlin, Germany, Indonesia has been nominated in the third rank of the best exhibitor for Australia and Oceania category.

 
“We have tried our best,” explained the Ministry of Indonesia Tourism’s Deputy Marketing Director Nia Niscaya after taking part in the ITB Awards ceremony on Sunday evening in Berlin.

 
Indonesia occupies third position after Thailand and India. However, the archipelago country had turned out to be the first for two years at a stretch: 2016 and 2017.

 
At the ITB Berlin, the Indonesian pavilion had the theme of maritime culture, and particularly highlighted Balinese architecture, like traditional gate “Candi Bentar”, Meru Tower, clock tower “Menara Kul-kul”, paddy fields terrace, and many others.

 
At the time of the exhibition on March 7-10, Indonesia had made almost Rp10 trillions of business transactions. The amount exceeded the results of 2016 and 2017 with Rp6.5 trillions and Rp8 trillions respectively.

The 2018 exhibition area has grown from 580 to 150,000 square meters followed by an increase in trade visitors from 250 to more than 10,000. With around 180,000 visitors in total, for the tourism industry, ITB Berlin is a centre of attraction and influences travel experiences globally.
