Within the first 3 months of 2017, Armenia’s inbound tourism flow has increased by 18.2%. This was confirmed by Zarmine Zeytuntsyan, chairman of the state tourism committee of the ministry of economic development and investments.
She said that this growth mainly includes tourists from Iran, Russia, China and France. To quote Zarmine, “The flow of tourists from Iran to Armenia grew unprecedentedly in March. In March alone, the growth comprised 21%. We are planning to establish a tourism information center in the Meghri checkpoint.
It is very important since Iranian tourists are experiencing issues with transportation services after crossing the border.” She said that the center will assist them in perfectly using transportation services.
