The American Independence Day this year will be marked as the biggest human migration for the country since 2007. The weekend of this Independence Day is typically the busiest summer travel holiday as families can take extended vacations. AAA says almost 41.9 million Americans will travel today, the most in the last eight years.
The American Independence day this year will be marked by bigger numbers other than travelers as well. It is presumed that 150 million hot dogs and 103 million beers will be consumed by Americans celebrating their Independence Day.
More than 84% of the travelers will be driving according to AAA. The good news for drivers is AAA says gas prices are the lowest Fourth of July prices in five years. The average price for regular unleaded gas in Florida is $2.67 and $2.61 in Georgia. The national average is $2.70.
