While addressing a press conference here he mentioned that there has been a rise in corporate trips between these two countries following the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel recently.
Besides the defence deals at the government level there has been a great deal of business collaboration between India and Israel in the arenas of agriculture, technology and diamonds, among the other spheres.
Madah went on to add that they would aim to leverage the fresh interest triggered by the visit of Prime Minister to raise the popularity of Israel and make the Indian business travellers aware about the immense potential Israel has in terms of business tourism.
More than 34,000 Indians had visited Israel in the last seven months witnessing a growth of about 36% in the Indian visitor arrivals as compared to the same period last year.
China and India rank two and one respectively in the number of tourists from Asia to Israel.
Israel expects to welcome about 55,000 Indian tourists this year. Madah has asserted that by the end of 2018, they hope to welcome at least 1 lakh Indian visitors to Israel.
