Indian state reaches WTM 2017

WTM 17mThe Tourism Department of Arunachal Pradesh with a team of officials led by Parliament Secretary, P.D.Sona (Tourism& Civil Aviation) has been part of the annual World Tourism Market or WTM which took place at London from November 6th till 8th.


WTM is an important annual event for the travel industry worldwide. Over 180 countries had partaken in the event. WTM serves as kind of a platform for all travel related businesses to meet, network, discuss and explore opportunity in tourism sector.


The principal aim of participating in the WTM remains selling and promoting the rich potential of tourism of the state in front of the tourists and tourism stakeholders, all around the world. With growing interest among global travelers about Arunachal Pradesh, the tourism department of the Indian state is anticipating a growth in foreign tourist footfall, as expressed in a recent departmental release.


The Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India supported the event to highlight the possibility of tourism of the state in the incredible India pavilion.


Secretary Tourism, Govt. of India and Secretary, DoNER had also visited the stall of Arunachal Pradesh.
