Indian Tourism Fair begins with an aim to promote tourism destinations of India

Paryatan ParvThe Ministry of Tourism in India is organizing a three day event to focus on the portrayal of Indian culture and heritage to the international tourists and educate the nationalities about the rich cultural back ground of India, on the green areas of Rajpath lawns in the national capital territory of India- Delhi, beginning from Monday to celebrate the culmination of a 21-day “ParyatanParv” or the Tourist fest, a nationwide tourism festival which is helping to promote the tourism destinations of Indian states.




This cultural programme is being organised with the objective of drawing focus on the benefits of tourism, showcasing the cultural diversity of the country and reinforcing the principle of “Tourism for All”.




The public event will be organised between Rafi Marg and Janpath between 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will include the variant cultural performances from all over Indian states like West Bengal, Assam, Karnataka, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a crafts bazaar, multi-cuisine food court and several interactive stalls to keep the national and international guests engaged at the event venue, said the Indian Ministry of Tourism.




This cultural festival promises to have 50 different local food stalls set up by various states and union territories showcasing their idiosyncratic cuisine including stalls set up by the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) that will bring several street vendors from different parts of India to the capital of India, New Delhi.




This craft mela with have 50 stalls showcasing miscellaneous handicrafts and handlooms of the country, arranged by the different State governments and Ministry of Textiles, which will help to focus the different handlooms of Indian states.




This craft fair is also giving the potentiality in displaying the art and cultural part with the establishment of 15 theme-based State pavilions, which will be set up at the fest.
