Gearing up to celebrate its first formation day which marked the culmination of a nearly sixty-year old dream, Telangana State launches an interesting – “Hop on Hop off Service bus” to provide the tourists/ passengers visiting the state from various parts of the world and country, the best of Telangana. This exciting Hop on Hop Off bus service was launched by Sri. Chandulal Ajmera, Honorable Minister, Tourism and Culture, Telangana government on 30th May, 2015.
The “Hop on Hop off Service bus” is specifically designed to cover both historic and tourist destinations of Hyderabad like the Birla Mandir, Salarjung Museum, Nizam Jubilee Pavillion, Chaminar, Mecca Masjid, Laad Bazaar, Chowmahallah Palace, Zoo Park, Golconda Fort, Qutub Sahi Tombs and Lumbini Park. The service bus will stop at each of the above location for a few minutes. The bus service will start at 8.50 am and the last bus is available at 4.50pm from the Information and Reservation Office, Tank Bund. The tariff for adults is Rs. 200 and for children is Rs. 100 which will be exclusive of food and entry charges to any of the locations.
To celebrate the Telangana Formation Day and to promote Adventure Tourism in the state, the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation Limited is organizing a free Rock climbing orientation training program at Rock Climbing School, Bhongir on the 3rd and 4th of June, 2015.
Rock Climbing School is the famous training centre where World record holder Kum. Poorna Malavath – The youngest girl ever to conquer Mt. Everest who was being trained to conquer this big achievement. The hardworking team behind the achievement of Poorna Malavath and Anand Kumar will be present during this training session.
Interested candidates can report at the ticket counter which will be at the entrance of Bhongir Fort on 3rd and 4th June, 2015 from 7.00am. As part of the Telangana formation week celebrations The Telangana Golf Association is hosting the first Interstate Golf Championship in Hyderabad at the Hyderabad Golf Association from 2nd – 5th June, 2015
Participants from over 100 Top Indian Amateur Golf players from various states will be gathering at the Golf course which is within the precincts of the Golconda Fort. For the first time, this unique event will be hosted in Hyderabad and specifically in Telangana. The event will be played over 4 days in 72 holes to select the winning team. Keeping this mind, special arrangements are being made to serve food delicacies of Telangana state for the Golfers from all parts of India.
Starting with Floral tributes at Martyrs Memorial at Gun Park on 2nd June to 15 minutes fireworks display at 12 locations in and around Hyderabad to 3D mapping at Clock tower (Secunderabad), Buddha Statue and Kachiguda Station, Telangana State is all set for its week-long celebrations from 2nd June, 2015.
The celebrations will involve a range of events that will showcase a rich history and culture of the Telangana state. Numerous venues in Hyderabad along with the Telangana Bhawan in New Delhi, will be hosting events for the public, marking the maiden Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
