IndiGo flight 591, which was flying from Vadodara to New Delhi, managed to schedule an emergency landing near 9 a.m. at Ahmedabad. The non-stop flight had to land as a technical difficulty was detected by the crew. All the 177 passengers and crew members are safe and sound.
The IndiGo airlines already issued an official statement which says, “IndiGo flight 591 from Vadodara to New Delhi with 177 passengers and six crew members was diverted to Ahmedabad today due to a technical fault.
The director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airpor, A. K. Sharma said, “The Vadodara-New Delhi IndiGo flight landed here after facing some technical problem.”
As the airport runway remains closed between 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening due to maintenance, the passengers have to endure some delay. They will board the flight to Delhi at 7:30 p.m.
At present, the troublesome aircraft is grounded at the Ahmedabad airport. As per the statement issued by IndiGo, some of the passengers were accommodated in a hotel, whereas some took flight back to Vadodara.
