A Mumbai to Thiruvananthapuram Indigo flight made an emergency landing on Wednesday evening after the pilot suspected a technical snag. The flight landed at Thiruvananthapuram airport. The airplane was carrying 161 passengers.
Airport sources said the pilot of Flight 933 had a doubt of technical snag while preparing for the landing. Hence the pilot alerted the airport traffic control and sought permission for an emergency landing.
The airport authorities made it clear that there was no cause of concern and all the passengers are safe.
The pilot sought permission for emergency landing after he felt that the landing gear is not functioning properly.
However, by the time of landing, the nose wheel came down without any troubles and the flight made a safe landing.
The flight made the landing by 4.18 pm and officials carried out a detailed check after all passengers alighted.
An official of the airline said that, the pilot had a doubt when the flight had touched 10,000 feet for landing, hence he had demanded a push back at the air traffic control. But when the flight touched 5,000 feet, the pilot said that there was no need for it as it was just a doubt on some technical snag in the landing.
