Luoyang in central China’s Henan Province has been selected by the Indonesian Tourism Ministry for promoting the Wonderful Indonesia campaign for luring more tourists across the country. For this promotional event, various programs have been planned from March 31 to April 4, 2017.
Among these programs are grand opening of a restaurant, press conference, the Wonderful Indonesia Night, and dinner for the Pacific Asia Travel Association’s VIP guests. The visitors at the event will get to enjoy art and cultural performance featuring Indonesian and Chinese artists and authentic Indonesian delicacies. Promoting the Wonderful Indonesia brand in China holds a lot of importance in showcasing the positive image of the archipelago’s tourism industry to the world, and more so, in countries that contribute for foreign tourists to the nation.
China is one of Indonesia’s biggest tourism markets due to its increasing trend of outbound tourists visiting the archipelago in the last few years. Hence, this positive trend of Chinese tourist arrivals needs to be restored with sustainable efforts for promoting its popular destinations. Wonderful Indonesia brand in Luoyang is part of these endeavours.
Indonesian Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said, “The Luoyang event is expected to strengthen our two countries’ One Belt, One Road cooperation in various fields, including the transportation, trade, cultural, educational, tourism, and economic sectors.”
