As time draws nearer to the Internationale Tourismus Börse (ITB) Berlin 2013 , – the world’s leading travel trade show, to take place from 6th to 10th March 2013, Indonesia, as ITB 2013 Official Partner Country, gears up to highlight the event with a special pavilion in Hall 26.
Indonesia will offer the visitors an insight into the cultural and natural diversity of the island nation, unexplored jungles, endless sandy beaches, diverse diving sites, stunning volcanic landscapes, vibrant cities and centuries old traditions and cultures. These are main the tourist attractions of more than 17,000 tropical islands of the world’s largest archipelago and ITB tourism fair in Berlin raises the island nation to an impressive level. The icon of the Indonesian seafaring nation: the majestic Phinisi Sailing vessel will be presented at the event.
Featuring the Phinisi Schooner as icon, Indonesia also aims to further promote the vast inter-island seas of the archipelago that hold immense natural treasures below and above the waters, creating unbelievable marine attractions , that include the Sail Bunaken, Sail Banda, and Sail Indonesia Regattas, just to name a few. While
below the sea live the incredible underwater world of Raja Ampat, Wakatobi, the Komodo National Park, Derawan and more.
Indonesian fine dining, dancing and traditional spa treatments present the best aspects of this holiday mparadise.
The focus of the stand will be on culture and tradition, nature and ecotourism, recreational sports, cruises, cuisine and shopping, spa and wellness and the MICE business. A delegation of more than 110 participants from over 20 regions – from Sumatra over Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara to Papua – will represent Indonesia in Berlin.
Traditional dances and musical performances from various regions will provide to the world’s largest tourism fair an insight into over 700 different languages and cultures of the 300 ethnic groups in the island nation.
