Indonesia will promote marine tourism at Australia Dive Expo Event

IndonesiaThe Tourism Ministry in Indonesia is promoting the marine tourism to attract more tourists.



The Tourism Ministry of Indonesia is set to promote the tourism destinations which are centered with marine life at Australia Dive Expo Event in Sydney, Australia, on August 3-7.



According to the tourism ministry, they are brining 10 operators that will offer diving packages to several locations in Indonesia, such as Sabang in Aceh, Banten, Bali, North Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara and West Papua.



Tourism Ministry in Indonesia will attract the tourists by decorating their booth which will look like a phinisi ship, a traditional ship originated from South Sulawesi.



Indonesia has more than 55 destinations for diving and more than 1,500 diving spots spread across the archipelago, from Weh Island in Aceh to Cendrawasih Bay in Papua. The marine tourism itself is divided into three zones: coastal zone, underwater zone and sea zone.



The ministry’s deputy assistant for Asia-Pacific Tourism Promotion, Vinsensius Jemadu, added that Indonesia is an archipelago country where 70 percent of its geographical area is oceans.



Indonesia is asmall island country in South East Asia grabs the attention to many tourists for the beautiful natural description. Indonesia has the unsurpassed coral reefs collection in the world. It is celebrated for its nationwide marine parks.



Indoenesia is said to have the longest coastline in the world scattered with blue waters and the corals. The geography of Indonesia has the total area for coral reefs, which takes up to 51,000 square kilometers, contributing up to 18 percent to the overall total of coral reefs in the world.
