The first flight service launched by Interjet was highly cherished by Interjet and Aeroports de Montreal between Mexico and Canada. It will have a nonstop service between Montreal – Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport and Mexico City’s Aeropuerto Internaciol Benito Juarez and between Montreal and Cancun International Airport.
Jose Luis Garza , Chief Executive officer of Interjet said that on the occasion of Montreal’s 375th anniversary this year they were please to provide Mexico’s business and leisure travelers the opportunity to visit the city and explore its history , culture, heritage, people, and its iconic places.
Now the Montreal’s business and leisure travelers to Mexico will avail unique brand of lower prices with free checked bags on select fares offering more leg space between seats and services.
Christine St Pierre, Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie said that this new link will enrich the special relation maintained between Quebec and Mexico and it is a major asset for the City of Montreal and Quebec.
The new direct flights by Interjet will enable Quebec and Mexico to strengthen their business and cultural ties and with the strong commitment this collaboration will continue to grow.
Philippe Rainville, President and Chief Executive Officer of Aeroports de Montreal said that business and leisure travel between Canada and Mexico will grow in the days to come. This year’s data revealed that the number of Mexican tourists visiting Quebec has more than doubled and is expected to grow further.
The business community will be provided with more opportunities with a new low cost airline to Montreal.
Interjet’s Montreal services uses Airbus A320 with 150 seats, the flights will be scheduled as three frequencies per week , per route at the allotted departure time.
