International travel industry expo to be held in Macao

On April 26 the seventh Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo will open in Macao on a larger scale according to special administrative region (SAR)’s tourism office.

Macao Government Tourism Office Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes believes that this year’s edition would have higher accomplishments.

She mentioned that the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area supports Macao to develop a series of global brands in exhibition and meeting.

The exhibition floor can now accommodate 800 standard booths in total as the area has been doubled from a total area of 11,000 square meters last year to 22,000 square meters this year, it had 550 booths last year.

The 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Macao SAR, fostering tourism partnerships under the Belt and Road Initiative, and developing multi-destination itineraries in the Greater Bay Area will be a part of the three-day event  which will present seven highlight.
