The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North has launched a brightening new facial that uses cutting-edge LED technology to plump the skin, reduce inflammation and improve circulation to create a healthy, glowing complexion.
The new Illuminating Facial combines the benefits of a traditional facial with LED (light emitting diode) therapy. The experience begins with a gentle cleansing and exfoliation of the skin. Next, a portable LED device is placed in an arc inches above the face. While relaxing during the LED light treatment, the guest also enjoys a scalp massage and a sugar scrub for the hands and feet.
The highly effective LED lights are of varying wavelengths and each has a unique function. Red light reduces inflammation and promote circulation, blue light destroys bacteria, which is especially helpful in treating acne, and near-infrared wavelengths deliver energy to the cells, stimulating collagen production.
The facial concludes with an application of moisturiser leaving the skin feeling soft and looking radiant.
“One of the great benefits of this therapy is that the guest can see and feel instant improvement in the skin,” says Lia Rowland, Spa Director at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale. “Plus, there’s no discomfort, no downtime and no ultraviolet rays are emitted.”
The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is a peaceful getaway from the stress of daily life. In addition to a robust choice of treatment options, the Spa offers separate men’s and women’s relaxation rooms, saunas and unique immersive sensory steam rooms that use chromotherapy, a colour therapy that combines different colours of light with aromatherapy to help balance one’s energy based on the season. Guests who book a 50-minute or longer treatment can also enjoy access to the Spa’s well-appointed fitness centre and roster of classes for the day.
