Introduction of Single Window Destination will boost the tourism in Ghana

3068078398963_2415287418083Ghana, one of the African nations, located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean is all set to boost the tourism after delivering the full development plan to the nation.



Ghana Tourism Authority, which is under the auspices of the Tourism Ministry partners SGS Ghana plans to introduce a “Single Window Destination” project for the development of tourism in the country.



The “Single Window Destination” is targeted for the promotion of the excellence in tourism industry in Ghana by raising the standards of hospitality agencies and improving in the hospitality services.



Francis B. Gavor, Business Development Manager of SGS, while explaining the launch of the project, said that the technological innovations are needed to initiate for the easiness of the travel.



There will be a portal where very information related and relevant with the tourism and travel industry will be provided for all the visitors and the enable to access with a fair idea about the Ghana tourism industry.



Francis B. Gavor also explained that the portal will be named as “Visit Ghana”.



The “Visit Ghana” provides the every information that is required about Ghana.  This portal will share the complete information and data for the tourism, travel, hospitality and business and also the geo location services. This online portal will also help in planning the trips to Ghana associated with the travel guides, maps, social media mapping, and also the mobile application.



“Single Window Destination” will also offer the sustainability and safety information to all the visitors along with a feedback platform to develop the tourism industry here and the services.



The “Single Window Destination” project highlights to address the challenges in the Ghana’s tourism and hospitality sector.



It is hopeful that “Single Window Destination” will generate the revenue for the Ghana Tourism Authority, and provide the visibility for the Tourism Authority of Ghana in improving the data collection, and generally improves the standards in the tourism sector of Ghana by making the attractive for investors and tourists.
